Structural Engineer

Overview

SSC Engineering, a nationally recognized, locally-owned consulting engineering firm has a great opportunity in our Chesterfield, MO office for a full-time Structural Engineer in the design and construction of a variety of structures ranging from medical, commercial, retail and institutional buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design
• Generate design estimates and proposals
• Prepare reports and supervise drawing production
• Interface with clients and participate in some field observation work
• Analyze and design lateral systems including seismic design
• Understand load paths, foundations, framing systems, connections, and detailing for different material systems (steel, concrete, wood)
