Senior Accounts Assistant

This is an exciting retail and manufacturing business based in the city of London. They have a collection of dynamic brands specialising in unique, modern and luxury home & office furnishing with a strong presence across Europe.

They are now looking to hire an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant (Accounts Payable) to join their finance team. This role will be based full-time in office.

Role

The Senior Accounts Assistant for this retail and manufacturing business based in the City of London, will work closely with the Finance Manager in handling day-to-day processing & transactional activities. They will take on a range of key responsibilities including :

• Checking bank statements for incoming monies and allocate / reconcile against the ledger
• Coding, booking and manual processing of purchase invoices
• Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders
• Preparation of weekly payment runs
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Maintenance of Ledger Control Accounts
• Filing of purchase invoices, sales invoices and purchase and sales orders
• Answering queries from suppliers
• Assisting with ad hoc duties across the accounts department
