Higher level Teaching Assistant –KS2 – Locks Heath

Start Date : March 2026

Contract : Long-term with the potential to become permanent

Salary : £90 – £105 per day (Dependent on experience)

Hours : 08 : 30 – 3 : 30

Location : Near Locks Heath

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HLTA to work in an Ofsted rated “Good” school with a fantastic reputation for inclusion. The school is a larger than average Junior school with 3 classes per year group.  This role would include covering PPA and illness throughout KS2

You must have an HLTA or CACHE level 3 qualification to apply for this role. This would be an excellent role for an ECT looking to take their first steps into teaching.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Covering classes on a planned or ad hoc basis
• Providing EHCP support for those pupils with additional needs
• Teach booster sessions for those who need support to meet their academic targets
• Assisting teaching staff with adapting learning resources to suit individual needs.
• Encouraging students to build independence, confidence, and resilience.
• Supporting the smooth running of the classroom and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Excellent classroom management skills
