Are you looking for a new Teaching role?

We have an exciting opportunity for inspiring and dedicated Subject Teachers to join a thriving Secondary School in Barking & Dagenham. Ofsted has rated the school ‘Good’ and provides a supportive and inclusive environment for both students and staff.

Role :  Secondary Subject Teachers

Location :  Barking & Dagenham

Start Date :  ASAP

End Date :  Negotiable

Employment Type :  Full-Time / Part-Time

Contract Type :  Long-Term / Short-Term / Supply

Pay Scale :  £165 - £265 per day (depending on qualifications & experience)

As a  Secondary Teacher , you will play a vital role in raising achievement and fostering a love for learning  within your specialist subject area . Core responsibilities include :

Key Responsibilities as a Secondary Teacher :

  • Curriculum Delivery :  Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with national curriculum expectations across  KS3–KS5  within your subject specialism.
  • Assessment & Progress Monitoring :  Track student attainment and provide clear, constructive feedback to support strong outcomes.
  • Student Engagement :  Inspire curiosity and a positive attitude to learning by making subject content accessible, relevant, and exciting.
  • Classroom Environment :  Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment where all students feel motivated and supported.
  • Collaboration :  Work closely with colleagues within your department and across the school to share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Professional Growth :  Participate in  CPD  and stay informed of developments in your subject area and modern educational methodologies.
  • The successful Secondary Teacher will have :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)  or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge  within your specialist subject and a passion for delivering high-quality teaching.
  • Ability to build positive relationships  with students, staff, and parents.
  • Effective behaviour management skills  and high expectations for achievement.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
