This role does not offer sponsorship.As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an Art & Design Technology Teacher to join our close-knit team at New Barn School, part of Acorn EducationAbout the roleTo provide a high quality education service for our students in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body.ResponsibilitiesTo secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all students in consultation with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and HOFTo teach Art and Design to groups of students from all abilities according to their educational needs and levels of ability, to include GCSE provisionIn consultation with the Headteacher / SLT undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculumTo evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning in Art and Design and progress towards meeting agreed targets across the school relentlessly focusing on the improving of teaching and learningTo secure, in collaboration with the SLT, high standards of teaching and learning in Art and DesignContribute to a lively and stimulating environment within the Art and Design departmentQualifications RequiredTeaching qualification (QTS)Previous experience of teaching Art and DesignAbout The SchoolNew Barn School offers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum to boys and girls, aged 6 – 19 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health complexities.New Barn School takes full advantage of its beautiful settings and fosters a love for using the outdoor curriculum including forest school, farm experiences and horse riding.
