GDPR and Compliance Manager

Were looking for a globally oriented detail focused GDPR & Compliance Manager. This is role reports into the Security & Compliance Director whilst working on a day-to-day basis with the wider UK Operations Dept both in the UK and overseas.

This is a full-time role based in London on a hybrid working basis with a minimum of 2-3 days in the office a week.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The GDPR & Compliance Manager will work closely with the Security & Compliance Director and Operations Director to ensure UK GDPR regulations are adhered to and compliant both in the UK and in our overseas regions.

What youll do:

• DPIA ROPA and consent frameworks management and oversight.

• Collaboration with project managers on all things GDPR.

• Key stakeholder engagement and communication.

• GDPR policy internal training governance and compliance management.

• Supplier data sharing T&C reviews.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of UK GDPR EU GDPR and related data protection legislation. Theyll have demonstrable experience managing DPIAs and privacy risk assessments in a large or global organisation. Theyll have strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business advice. Theyll have a proven ability to work across multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

What you bring (knowledge expertise experience and skills):

• A bachelors degree in law or a related business field is preferred.

• Strong experience in data protection law (GDPR UK GDPR PECR).

• Fluent level of English both spoken and written.

• Confident liaising with wider business stakeholders.

• Excellent analytical skills.

• Detail-oriented.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Proactive agile work ethic.

• Thorough and methodical attention to detail.

• Ability to exercise sound judgement and escalate issues appropriately.

Additional requirements for the role include:

• Often ex-law firm regulator or in-house counsel.

• CIPP/E CIPM or equivalent privacy certification preferred.

• Experience working in a multinational or matrix organisation.

• Familiarity with privacy tools and technologies.
