Do you love supporting young people and making lessons come alive? We’re looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Birmingham. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys taking initiative, delivering small group and whole-class support, and working closely with teachers to raise achievement.
What you’ll be doing :
Leading small group interventions and occasionally covering whole classes
Supporting teaching and learning across KS3–KS4 , with opportunities to focus on your specialist subject
Helping plan and deliver engaging resources to boost student progress
Providing 1 : 1 support for pupils who need extra help
Working with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to create the best outcomes for every student
What we’re looking for :
HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience)
Confident leading small groups and whole-class activities
Strong communication and organisation skills
A team player who can also work independently
A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
