A UK-based company is seeking a seasoned HR Specialist to support and manage its growing network of independent contractors, with a strong preference for candidates based in South Africa. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who understands the nuances of working with contractors and can bring structure, compliance, and support to a remote-first, contractor-led business.

As an independent contractor yourself, you’ll operate autonomously while supporting the company’s strategic goals, building efficient onboarding processes, and maintaining contractor documentation. • Oversee the full lifecycle of independent contractors, including onboarding, documentation, and offboarding.
• Develop and maintain contractor agreements in line with compliance and operational needs.
• Serve as the main point of contact for contractor support, addressing queries, documentation requests, and workflow setup.
• Implement and refine HR systems and processes tailored to contractor needs.
• Track contract terms, renewal dates, and compliance across multiple service providers.
• Work closely with leadership to forecast contractor resourcing needs and streamline operations.
• Stay updated on contractor-related laws and best practices, ensuring all processes align with current standards.
• Support initiatives to boost contractor satisfaction, communication, and retention.
