About Our Client

Job Description
- Using data and insight and risk management to build continuous improvement with our suppliers, distribution and stores.
- Engaging widely with business stakeholders including suppliers to provide and maintain a good understanding of product safety and quality, to identify opportunities to build understanding and capabilities supporting driving a culture of compliance throughout the EMEA region.
- Apply in-depth technical knowledge to projects and gather insights (i.e., testing, supplier and product assessment) across a wide variety of single-use packaging materials / items including but not limited to : poly-coated paperboard (hot cups), polypropylene PP (cups and lids), polylactic acid PLA, poly-hydroxyalkanoic acids PHA, molded pulp, corrugate, containerboard, utensils, etc.
- Leads product incident management and the troubleshooting of complex, broad scale quality, product safety and regulatory issues. Ensures partners effectively manage and close out issues.
The Successful Applicant
Strong packaging and material science background with emphasis in plastics, pulp, and paperExperience developing and implementing quality programs and product standards or manufacturer and supplier quality system and product quality auditing with an emphasis in materialsA degree / diploma level food safety qualification essential, from a recognised qualification route (i.e. Royal Institute of Public Health, CIEH)Minimum 3years experience working in a similar roleQuality Management System knowledge including HACCP, GMPs, ISO or GFSI, ISO and BRC complaint standards. Basic understanding of Food Safety and Quality GFSI requirements. Knowledge and understanding of food labelling legislation and allergen management.What's on Offer
