Our client is currently seeking a Design Engineer to ensure design excellence across a portfolio of 300+ concurrent workplace and job centre projects. This is not a hands-on design role but focuses on design assurance, standards evolution, and strategic guidance.

Essential criteria

Professional qualification in Architecture or Interior Design (experience in commercial / retail sectors preferred)

Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale workplace or public sector projects (job centres particularly relevant)

Expertise in inclusive design principles and accessibility standards

Proven ability to engage stakeholders effectively and present to senior audiences

Hands-on experience developing and implementing design standards

Thorough working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and RIBA project stages
