Housing Officer – Exeter

Full-time | Permanent

Salary : £32370 per annum

We’re looking for a dedicated Housing Officer to join our clients team in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in supported housing who is looking to broaden their experience into general needs housing

In this role, you’ll be working across a varied caseload, supporting tenants to maintain their homes, sustain tenancies, and resolve issues. A large proportion of our residents are in supported housing, so experience in providing tailored, person-centred support will be a real advantage.

Key responsibilities :

  • Managing a caseload of properties and tenants across Exeter.
  • Supporting residents to sustain their tenancy, including those with complex needs.
  • Responding to tenancy queries, rent arrears, ASB issues, and property management matters.
  • Liaising with support providers, partner agencies, and internal teams to achieve positive outcomes for residents.
  • Ensuring properties are well maintained and safe, working closely with contractors and maintenance teams.

  • Has experience in supported housing, tenancy sustainment, or housing management.
  • Can communicate with empathy and professionalism with a wide range of people.
  • Is organised, resilient, and confident in managing competing priorities.
  • Wants to develop their career ingeneral needs housing, bringing transferable skills from a support-focused background.
  • Is passionate about helping residents to thrive in their homes and communities.
