Opportunity
A Tier 1 main contractor delivering a high-profile £150m new build construction project in Norwich is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to take ownership of Temporary Works, Health & Safety compliance, and Site Logistics.
This critical infrastructure project demands a forward-thinking, highly organised manager with strong operational experience in complex site environments. You'll play a key role in driving site safety, managing temporary works coordination, and ensuring seamless movement and operation across a large-scale, multi-zone site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all Temporary Works planning, design interface, inspection, and sign-off processes
- Manage full Health & Safety implementation on site in line with corporate and legal standards
- Drive a positive safety culture through inductions, toolbox talks, audits, and reporting
Develop and execute a comprehensive logistics strategy, including :
Site access controlMaterial deliveries and storageCrane / lifting plansWelfare setupTraffic and pedestrian managementLiaise with internal teams, subcontractors, safety advisors, and the principal designerMaintain key site documentation including permits, RAMS, daily records, logistics plans, and temporary works registersIdeal Candidate
Experienced Senior Site Manager with a track record on major construction projects (ideally £50m+)Strong knowledge of temporary works procedures and regulations (TWCT desirable)Demonstrable leadership in H&S compliance, safety culture, and site logisticsBackground in complex or high-risk environments such as infrastructure, healthcare, or large commercial buildsExcellent communication, organisation, and contractor coordination skillsQualifications
SMSTSCSCS (Black Card minimum)First AidTemporary Works Coordinator (preferred)NEBOSH or IOSH (advantageous)What’s On Offer
