DT Technician – Secondary School (North Bristol)

Love design, making, and helping others bring their ideas to life? This North Bristol secondary school is looking for a part-time DT Technician to join their busy and creative Design Technology team.

The Role

As a DT Technician, you’ll support teaching staff and students in practical activities across areas like Food Technology, Laser Cutting, and 3D Printing. From preparing resources and maintaining equipment to offering in-class support, you’ll help make lessons safe, engaging, and inspiring.

Your responsibilities will include :

Preparing and maintaining resources and machinery

Supporting students in practical lessons (training provided for Food Technology)

Ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times

Assisting with classroom organisation and administrative support

What We’re Looking For

Practical and organised, with the ability to prioritise your workload

Confident in using a range of tools and machinery safely

A supportive presence in lessons, able to communicate clearly and encourage students

Enthusiastic about design, technology, and making things happen

A team player with a willingness to share skills and ideas

The Details

Salary : Negotiable

Hours : 19.5 per week, term-time + INSET (39 weeks)

Working days : Flexible – to be confirmed at interview

Contract : Permanent
