Position : Tutor (Full-time)

School is a specialist SEMH provision supporting children and young people who have faced challenges in mainstream education. We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Tutor to deliver high-quality, personalised learning to small groups and individuals.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of students, helping them to re-engage with education and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities :

Plan and deliver tailored lessons across a range of subjects, adapting teaching styles to meet individual learning needs

Support students to develop academic, social, and emotional skills

Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to staff and parents

Implement behaviour support strategies to maintain a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment

Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and support teams to develop individual learning plans

Promote resilience, confidence, and a positive attitude towards learning

Must-Have Skills :

Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach core subjects (English / Maths / Science)

Experience working with children or young people, ideally those with SEMH or SEND needs

Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
