Social Media Manager - Volunteer

Overview

Engage and increase our supporter base by creating a compelling social media strategy to broadcast our messages, increase volunteer participation & encourage donations.

What difference will you make?

You will be helping some of the most disadvantaged people in the world towards a brighter future.

We are fundraising to restart a food programme at a school in Rwanda and build a community for Sudanese refugees.

You will help us to provide, solar lights, water harvesting tanks and biogas cookers for the Sudanese refugees when the houses are built.

What are we looking for?

• Experience in writing and editing marketing content
• Building strategies to increase our following and donations
• Creating content calendars to plan activity
• Be interested in the developing world
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to ask key questions to enable us to clarify requirements
• Ability to work flexibly within a remote team of volunteers

What will you be doing?

We need a social media manager to promote campaigns, and encourage donations.

Develop new campaigns.

Provide guidance/strategy on management of our social media

Produce fresh and engaging content for our channels.

Encourage donations and participation

Engage with our followers and encourage interaction.

Manage and maintain social media channels on a regular basis in your own time.
