SEN Tutor

Overview

The Leader Group is supporting a growing education programme which is part of a leading specialist education provider, in their search for a dedicated SEN Tutor. This role is focused on making a genuine difference for learners who need extra support to reach their potential and participate in school or learning sessions. The role involves bringing the school experience to the pupil so they don’t miss out and can still achieve their academic goals. This position supports multiple pupils within the week across the Halifax area and may involve travel; business car insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Maths, English, and intervention sessions at KS3 or foundation KS4 level.
• Work face-to-face with learners in their homes or at neutral locations such as a community library, or, if needed, over Microsoft Teams, across the Halifax area.
• Support vulnerable students by tailoring lessons to their learning needs.
• Collaborate with safeguarding advisors to ensure learners’ wellbeing and development are fully supported.
