Bid Manager

Deverellsmith has partnered with a leading mixed-use developer to recruit a Bid Manager to take ownership of identifying, managing, and submitting high-quality qualitative responses to invitations to tender. This role plays a key part in securing new business opportunities in line with their growth strategy.

Role Scope

  • Analyse tender documentation and determine how best to address requirements, highlighting unique strengths and differentiators.
  • Coordinate and secure timely input from contributors, including consultants and internal bid teams.
  • Prepare final bid submissions, ensuring ample time for review and refinement.

Delivery

  • Draft high-quality qualitative responses to secure new business.
  • Produce clear, concise, and compelling case studies for new and ongoing projects.
  • Support the preparation of post-tender interviews.
  • Maintain staff CVs and other supporting documentation.
  • Ensure submissions are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
  • Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all bid materials align with health, safety, EDI, and company compliance policies.
  • Maintain and enhance content within the submission library.
  • Structure submission documents to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure accurate financial and technical information is included.
  • Coordinate bid contributors to deliver consistent and timely input.
  • Success Measures

  • Achieve a minimum 90% pass rate on SQs, Sifting Briefs, and EOIs.
  • Achieve a 75%+ quality score on all bid submissions.
  • Ensure all bids are submitted on time.
  • Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience writing PQQ and tender responses within the residential and / or mixed-use sector.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, able to meet competing deadlines.
  • Excellent listening skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to secure timely input from colleagues.
