Role : Service Registered Service Manager / Operations

Contract : Permanent

Salary : Up to £58,344 (depending on experience)

Location : Penrith

Responsible to Operations Manager

We’re looking for a bold, compassionate Registered Service Manager to lead a registering solo homes for up to 2 children, supporting one child at a time with 2 : 1 care.

Category Essential : Qualifications :

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or currently working towards this.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.

Knowledge and Experience :

  • Experience as an Assistant Manager of a large service with high volumes of support workers, or as a Registered Manager in a multi-home or dual registration setting.
  • Proven experience of working with children who present with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Knowledge of Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, SCCIF framework and Quality Standards.
  • Experience of working in emotionally challenging environments requiring patience and resilience.
  • Experience in financial oversight, including budget management and resource planning.
  • Skills and Abilities :

  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, develop and lead a team.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – to engage effectively with professionals, children, and families.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
  • Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident in IT systems for reporting, care planning and compliance monitoring.
