A leading FMCG business in the Gravesend / Northfleet area is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid purchase ledger experience who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys working with accuracy and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Registering new suppliers

Obtaining invoice approvals and ensuring correct coding

Processing supplier invoices and credits into the accounting system

Preparing the weekly supplier payment run (including foreign currency)

Posting all supplier payments to the ledgers

Resolving disputes and handling exceptions

Completing purchase ledger reconciliations between supplier accounts and statements

Knowledge & Experience

2+ years’ experience in a similar finance role (essential)

Strong understanding of VAT, including reverse charges (essential)

Comfortable working with and interpreting data (essential)

Highly proficient in Excel, Outlook, and accounting software (essential)

Experience with Business Central (desirable)

Background in fresh produce, fruit, or wider FMCG (desirable)
