This is a state-of-the-art facility which has two areas; a locked assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health needs and personality difficulties
- To be considered for this position you must be registered with the HCPC, BPS accredited and a Chartered Member of the BPS
As the Lead Psychologist your key responsibilities include :
Attending and contributing to Clinical Leads and Hospital Governance MeetingsSupporting the provision of psychology services in a specified area, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teamsParticipating fully with the multidisciplinary team and ensure that the service user is fully engaged in their care pathwaySupporting clinical team working, including both direct interventions and the delivery of staff training programmesSupporting the clinical team and area of service in developing new initiatives and ways of workingTaking a key role in Psychology service developments, providing an evidence-based approach to new clinical initiativesMaximising current opportunities to make improvements to the service area.Participating in the recruitment of junior psychology staffSupporting in the development and implementation of policies that enhance staff safety and risk managementWorking with internal and external agencies in order to enhance treatment pathways for service usersThe following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role :
Competence in assessing, formulating, and working therapeutically with service usersAbility to identify and proactively resolve problems and challenges within the serviceAbility to supervise junior members of the teamKnowledge and understanding of working with traumaExperience in working with people with complex needs that are relevant to the population in the service areaCompetency in psychological assessments and formulation skills and an aptitude for learning new assessment methodsThe successful Lead Psychologist will receive an excellent salary up to £70,000 per annum.
