Job description

The Role

The role will be to provide a comprehensive telephone call handling, administrative and clerical support service, to clinical and non-clinical staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service.

You will assist the Senior Case Manager and / or Case Manager in the delivery of service(s) to NHSL staff in relation to the full range of rehabilitation services through EASY.

You will also be responsible for the following :

  • Ensure that participants are assessed for eligibility, fully informed and have consented to the requirements of the service.
  • Maintain accurate records and undertake assessments at the pre, mid and post-Interventions stages.
  • Deliver these records in an agreed format, timeously as stipulated in the protocols.
  • Liaise with appropriate service providers, Occupational Health (OH), Human Resources (HR), line Management and any other colleague / department / agency as required to meet service objectives.

What we'll need you to bring

  • Educated to HNC level (Health & Social Care, Business Admin, counselling Advice & guidance) or equivalent experience with an NHS or social care setting.
  • Knowledge of client health and employability issues is essential
  • Proven and well developed interpersonal skills and working with individuals on a one-to-one basis
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills
  • Administrative knowledge and experience
  • Experience of working with people in a variety of settings
  • Demonstrable relevant experience in an office administration capacity
  • Experience of a range of software packages including Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel (incl. complex formulas).
  • Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Understanding of a range of procedures and processes
  • Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure
  • Proficient I.T. skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times
  • It would be great if you also have

  • ECDL or equivalent proficiency
  • Experience in dealing with customer care issues
  • Analysis and provision of general information
  • Experience of working with Partner agencies, including the voluntary and independent sectors
  • Experience of working in Primary Care
  • Experience of working with databases and / or knowledge of Microsoft Access
  • Previous call centre or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • An ability to work as part of a team and independently if required

    This role will be based within SALUS at Beckford Street, Hamilton

    The working pattern for this role Monday-Friday, 0830-1630 hours
