The Private Housing Service works to improve housing standards, by working with private tenants’ landlords and homeowners, using a range of interventions to improve on the health and wellbeing of those residents living in the private sector. The Well Homes Service sits within The Private Housing Team.

Well Homes is a scheme that takes a proactive and holistic approach to the home environment to improve the housing conditions and health and wellbeing of residents living in privately owned and rented properties. the Well Homes Afghan Relocation Project and Homes For Ukraine to support families / individuals placed in Thurrock under the Home Office scheme to settle and integrate into their new homes and communities.

This role is to assist with support Ukrainian and Afghan guests. Assist them navigating their resettlement including securing BRP, education, benefits, employment, move on housing, community integration etc including form filling. The ability to speak Ukrainian or Pashto / Dari and would help in this role.
