Oxford Nanopore’s sequencing platform is the only technology that offers real-time analysis, in fully scalable formats from pocket to population scale, that can analyse native DNA or RNA and sequence any length of fragment to achieve short to ultra-long read lengths. The role is based in the Research Division but will support and interact with the Research, Development and Production Divisions. Formally reporting to the DNA construct team lead, the successful candidate will work across multiple projects, assisting with the supply of high-quality DNA, primarily for protein expression that contribute to the innovation and product development activities of the company. More specifically, the role will involve :
- Molecular cloning, PCR and primer design
- Bacterial culturing
- DNA extraction via bespoke methods, supplied kits or liquid handling robot
- DNA sequencing and constructs validation.
- Working and communicating effectively with other groups, primarily in Research and Development.
