Your new company
A global telecommunications firm, is looking for a Senior Radio Planning Manager with proven experience working within the Telecommunications Industry. You must be able to work autonomously as well as part of the wider team. The ideal candidate would need to have worked as a Radio Planning Manager work at a high level, and be involved in making strategic decisions.
The Mobile Network Strategic Planning Team is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic guidelines that drive the mobile network plan. The role will support this activity, covering key network capabilities and infrastructure that may include capacity upgrades, spectrum re-farm, future additional radio features, 5G standalone, legacy network switch off and Open RAN.
Your new role
As the Strategic Planning Manager will need to support forward-looking strategic analytics to prepare the mobile network 3-year plan (3YP), finding solutions to complex technical requirements with use of excellent technical knowledge.
The Planning team are responsible for the formulation and governance of the Radio Plan. This encompasses many drivers from Business / Consumer, Return on Investment Modelling, Network Strategy, and Regional / local insight.
The role of the team is to develop and drive the Radio Delivery Plans that drive the maximum benefit for the business in a timely manner - largely driven by Return-on-Investment decision-making. The team interfaces with the wider business, and the RAN Delivery Team - translating business requirements into a Plan that can be communicated and executed with strong governance.
Support legacy switch off data analysis required for technical decisions.
Link high level technical strategy to detailed planning inputs, formulating strategic planning guidance using data from internal and external strategic planning activities for 3YP, ensuring network plans are budgeted and supported through the 3YP process.
Identify opportunities for new strategic initiatives for the client's mobile network. Liaise and agree strategic plans with all stakeholders, communicating findings and recommendations in a structured way to the rest of the business.
Find solutions to complex technical requirements with the use of excellent technical knowledge.
Build and foster strong and effective relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and partners.
What you'll need to succeed
Educated to a degree level or equivalent or able to demonstrate a similar level of ability from industrial experience.
Experience developing strategic and / or detailed plans for delivery of mobile networks or similar.
Ability to influence and build productive relationships with stakeholders, from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
The ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines, and to prioritise workload / tasks against fluid deadlines.
