29 hours per week term time only + 2 weeks
This post aims to improve family engagement in their children’s speech, language and communication development, by engaging with families within Merthyr Tydfil. Post holders will be responsible for delivering early language development interventions to children birth to five with a focus working with children under 2 years and their families both in group situations and also on a one to one basis within the home. Additionally the post holder will use speech and Language toolkit which will measure children’s early language progress.
To work in consultation with a range of early years’ professionals and families to deliver intervention strategies that will enhance the quality of children's speech, language and communication needs, using the early language graduated response in order to jointly devise interventions to bring about change.
The post is instrumental in supporting the Early Language Development Graduated response and the Early Language Pathway.
