Mathematics Teacher – Tonbridge – January

Location : Tonbridge, Kent

Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a full-time qualified, intellectual and logical Mathematics Teacher for an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted-rated Boys’ Grammar School which is enriched by a mixed Sixth Form. They are looking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Teacher to support the provision of the high-performing Mathematics Department for KS3 and KS4 (A-level is desirable).

The study of mathematics at this exceptional school allows all students to become accomplished mathematicians who are able to reason mathematically and interpret data across a wide range of topics. You will achieve this by maintaining a sense of enjoyment and curiosity about this powerful subject.

We welcome applications from inspirational and dependable Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers looking for a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities :

Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being following statutory provisions.

Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.

Plan and teach well-structured differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum and the school’s curriculum policy.

Give pupils regular feedback and encourage pupils to respond to the feedback.

Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school’s behaviour policy.

Deploy any support staff effectively.

Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues.

Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals about pupils’ achievements and well-being.

Must have :

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Experience working within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 12 months of experience).

Excellent subject knowledge.

Child DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process).

Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum.

Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2024) document.

Excellent classroom management.

Good communication skills.
