Fibre Field Engineer
who would like to help us reach our mission
to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service.This role will be covering Southampton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
As the Fibre Field Engineer
your key responsibilities areProvide on-site support for internal team functions in our Network Operations CentreAct as first responder to incidents in your regionDiagnose on site faults, identifying root cause and implementing the desired fix in accordance with the Service Level AgreementPerform periodic maintenance of network assets as requiredComplete all documentation accurately and return within the communicated timeframeEnsure that all work is undertaken to a high standard of safety and technical qualityOptic Fibre repair - Customer facing singleton working in customers premises, homes, offices, schools etc and off-site in the Openreach underground access network (confined spaces)
About youFull UK Driving LicenceExperience of FTTH networksExperience of Fibre SplicingExperience of using an OTDR tester and an ability to analyse resultsGood customer service skills
We require all our Fibre Field Engineer to have their criminal records checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This is due to the nature of the role going into customers homes. This is in accordance with the BUUK Recruitment of Ex-Offenders Policy.
