Position : Newly Qualified Optometrist

Location : Southampton

Salary : Up to 60000 bonus and benefits

Working hours : Full time or part time with weekend flexibility and no late nights

Experience level : You must be a GOC registered Optometrist

We have an excellent opportunity for a driven Optometrist to join our thriving Southampton City Centre store. You will join a highly successful and energetic team who work together to ensure our patients receive an excellent experience and you will also benefit from an engaging supportive and approachable leadership team.

Following a full refurbishment in 2022 the store has 8 optical test rooms and 2 hear care rooms over 3 floors and is fully equipped with the latest clinical equipment and technology including OCT and Nidek Phoropters. This store has a large contact lens database and deliver local CUES and cataract services.

We are looking for an Optometrist who is a team player and someone who can adapt well in a busy store. We are passionate about the clinical and professional development of our team and as our new Optometrist we want to support you every step of the way. There are so many areas to explore; The Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway) as well as extra courses and specialisms that interest you. This position will take you into the vibrant growing city of Southampton. The store is located on a busy high street with The Bargate Quarter shopping living and leisure development across the road. With excellent transport connections to London and the south it is not uncommon for people to commute from far and wide to be part of such a colourful place. Additionally there are direct rail links to Birmingham and Manchester as well as an international airport.

Not only is the town brimming with fantastic new developments but it is also perfect for families as well as playing host to fantastic nightlife. Equally they provide every customer with clear advice and the peace of mind that comes with being in expert hands. To be part of our team youll need to provide the same unique blend of customer care and professional excellence which will make a big impact on the stores overall success.

As a professional youll be an expert at putting people at ease and welcoming customers with a naturally personable approach. You will talk customers through the eye examination process and talk through their options with them. Whats more you must be passionate about what you do with an aptitude for organisation which means you keep accurate records and always have uptodate knowledge of the latest developments in your field.
