Our client, a well-established SME, is seeking a hands-on Site Manager with a strong carpentry background to lead a stunning barn conversion project in the heart of Hertfordshire.The Role : This position involves managing the day-to-day operations of a high-spec barn conversion featuring timber frame construction. The Site Manager will act as the on-site lead, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to an exceptional standard. The role requires a proactive individual who’s willing to get involved on the tools when necessary.Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee and coordinate all on-site activities
• Ensure health and safety compliance at all times
• Manage subcontractors, materials, and site logistics
• Maintain build quality and adherence to project specifications
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and the project teamRequirements :
• Demonstrated experience as a Site Manager on high-quality residential or heritage projects
• Strong carpentry background
• In-depth knowledge of timber frame construction
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
• Tower Scaffold and / or Telehandler tickets (preferred)
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilitiesWhat’s on Offer :
