Job description
The Q Club Quedgeley is looking for a part-time coffee shop assistant to serve light snacks, teas, and coffee in Café Q. You would be responsible for the running of our coffee shop / splay area’s Monday – Wednesday 8.45am -2.45pm and 1 Saturday every 5 weeks 8.30am-1.30pmYou will be contracted to work 16.5 per week all year round, however there would be scope for extra hours covering for Room Hire bookings as required as well as 1 Saturday every 5 weeks.Duties include :
- Running and overseeing all elements of the Q Club Café and Q centre in the absence of the Centre Manager
- Maintain and develop and continue established links within the community
- Maintaining and developing the Q Club Coffee shop services.
- Developing simple seasonal menus with centre manager
- Assisting with the promotion of all coffee shop and Q Club activities through marketing, social media & PR
- Providing cover for parties on Saturday and Sunday Afternoon’s (Normally finished by 5pm)
- Create and monitor customer Service Satisfaction Questionnaires
- Monitoring Coffee shop and Soft Play Area
- Opening up and setting up café area
- Serving drinks (which involves using coffee machine), cakes and pre-packaged snacks
- Clearing down tables and highchairs as needed
- Cashing up at end of day
- Cleaning soft play, café, toilets and kitchen at the end of the day
- Locking up the building (Key Holder)
- Cash handling
- Completing open and close check list following guidelines from PTS food safety policy and Food Safety Act 1990
- Preparation of food items
- Lone working at times
