About the role

Working for Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS - part of GreenSquareAccord) , GDASS provides support to victims of domestic abuse (16+) living in Gloucestershire.

In addition to support services, GDASS also operate a helpline.

You will give practical, emotional support to people who are at standard and medium risk of domestic abuse using inpatient and community Mental Health Services.

You will support the GDASS Mental Health IDVA with training delivery of professionals within Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, to be able to identify domestic abuse and how to respond quickly and effectively.

Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.

About you

You must have excellent knowledge of domestic abuse legislation.

You need to have experience of managing complex, sensitive customer queries, remaining calm when dealing with emotional, difficult or distressed people and have experience of DASH completion.

You must be able to deal with a demanding workload and to prioritise effectively whilst maintaining attention to detail.

You need to have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the need to follow policy and procedures.

You will provide support and advocacy to clients at standard and medium risk of domestic abuse.
