About The Role
Senior Support Worker – Ty Banwen, Treharris- £12.50 to £13.75 per hour dependent on qualifications and experience - Full time 45.5 Hours per week - Maternity Cover (9 months)
An exciting opportunity has come up for anyone looking to progress to a Senior Support Worker role. This role is to cover maternity and is ideal for anyone who wants a taste of what it's like to be a Senior Support Worker.

We care for children who have support needs associated with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and work with them to help them meet their full potential and transition towards independence.
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Ty Banwen, where you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care to children in our home. In this leadership position, you will help guide and mentor a dedicated team, ensuring that each child receives the individual support they need to thrive. You will work closely with the team to create a nurturing environment, assist with daily activities, and provide ongoing support as children navigate their educational and personal development. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping the team maintain a consistent, caring approach, while also contributing to exciting outings and positive experiences for the children in our care.
A day in the life of a Senior Support Worker with Priority Childcare involves :
- Act as shift leader
- Assist in ensuring service standards are maintained.
- Assist in reporting and evidence gathering activities.
- Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in assessment, development and review of support and care plans.
- Promote and celebrate homes achievements.
