Data Protection Assistant
Location : Bessels Green or Peterborough - Hybrid
Role Purpose :
The Data Protection Team is a busy team responsible for overseeing data protection compliance across the Markerstudy Group.
This role is to assist the Data Protection Team in providing data protection focused legal / regulatory advice, identifying data protection issues and monitoring data protection compliance.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an interest in data protection and have experience working in a busy work environment in a regulated company. A good knowledge of data protection law will be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Data Breaches
- Assess any reports of data breaches and carry out initial risk assessment.
- Ensure accurate records of data breaches are maintained.
- Provide advice to the business on remedial actions and monitor completion of required actions.
- Identify and flag high risk data breaches to the DPO immediately.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly breach reports to strict deadlines.
- Monitor breaches for trends and patterns and identify potential areas of improvement.
