Position : Materials Manager Location : Pershore, Worcestershire Job Type : Permanent / Onsite My client a global specialist manufacturing business, are on the hunt for a Materials Manager to join their fast paced, ever-growing business! Role and Responsibilities – In this role your primary function will be the management and monitoring of all inventory and vehicle movements at the 2 UK sites. This includes overseeing all aspects of materials flow, accuracy of stock and the stock transactions within the ERP system. Other responsibilities include : Continual improvement of all material flow processes with a view to implementing best practices Management of Goods in Control processes including working closely with Quality team to ensure materials are clearly identified and stored as required. Oversight of perpetual stock counting processes including root cause analysis when discrepancies arise and implementing effective corrective actions where necessary Reviewing future resource requirements through sales forecasts and planning and adjusting accordingly. Experience or Qualifications – Experince within a fast paced manufacturing environment, working in materials management role and overseeing all aspects of logistics Experience of SAGE200 / Microsoft Dynamix or similar ERP software Proven track record of warehouse management with a developed understanding of movement of materials, storage principles and FIFO practices Developed understanding of Lean Management principles with a proven record of implemented improvements in previous roles Benefits – 24 Days holiday (inclusive of Christmas shutdown) Bank Holidays Private Health Care Options Competitive Pension Scheme Opportunities to grow throughout the business Candidates who currently are a Materials Manager, Warehouse & Logistics Manager, Inventory Manager or Materials Planning Manager may be suitable for this position.
