Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join a reputable groundworks contractor as SHE Manager for their Oxfordshire region. They need a strong, well-developed SHE professional with a demonstrable track record in looking a after a multi-site portfolio. Due to the nature of the schemes involved with, you must have had demonstrable experience in residential groundworks or housebuilding.
Reporting into the board you will be :
- Managing the systems and driving continuous improvement in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
- Reviewing, improving and approving Health and Safety plans
- Driving a behavioural safety culture at site level, ensuring a proactive approach
- Managing sub-contractors and their performance whilst coaching a Health & Safety ethos out on-site
- Liaising with statutory bodies, company legal advisors and insurers when required
- Building strong relationships across departments
- Liaising the regional Construction Director and Managing Director to help drive H&S initiatives.
You will well-versed in coaching and mentoring personnel, controlling their safety output on-site and ensuring compliance across a diverse and challenging risk portfolio. You will be :
