MEP Site Supervisor -UK
MEP Supervisor required for the UK to work on Life Science projects, with pharmaceutical experience. The MEP Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems on construction sites. This role ensures that all MEP work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, standards, and safety regulations
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage MEP works on-site to ensure compliance with the project specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other site supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring that MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) are installed correctly.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design drawings and specifications.
- Identify and resolve any on-site issues or conflicts related to MEP systems.
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and quality control in MEP installations.
- Review and approve MEP materials and equipment used on-site.
- Conduct and document regular quality checks and inspections.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks with MEP subcontractors and workers.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to provide updates on MEP progress and address any concerns.
- Coordinate with other trades and disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within the overall project.
- Maintain accurate records of MEP work, including daily logs, inspection reports, and material receipts.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the project manager.
- Provide technical guidance and support to MEP subcontractors and workers.
- Ensure that all MEP installations adhere to relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP supervision, preferably in the construction industry.Relevant certifications in MEP systems, project management, or safety (e.g., NEBOSH, PMP) are advantageousBenefits
