About the role :
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a highly reputable state-of-the-art private eye clinic-based n Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join their thriving theatre team permanently. The clinic is high performing and expanding and within his role, you will be exposed to a wide range of specialities. The service practices some of the most advanced treatments offering a range of surgical procedures in specialist fields within Ophthalmology. This is a great opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to expand on their skills in assisting patients undergoing procedures including cataract surgery in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner and will be responsible for :
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume clinical setting
- Prepare patients for surgery
- Take them through the journey and reassure patients throughout
- Caring for patients after surgery recovering from sedation
- Review patient charts and confirm data
- Ensure medical equipment is prepared for surgery
- Follow surgeons’ directions and pass medical equipment
- Monitor patient’s condition during surgery
- Medicine Management and Audits

Person Specification : All applicants for the role of Theatre Nurse / ODP practitioner must have a valid NMC / HCPC registration with no restrictions and full eligibility to live and work in the UK. With at least 1 year of Theatre experience in the UK.
