£400 per day (Inside IR35)
Up to 2 Year Duration
We've been engaged by a well-established chemical manufacturing company to secure a Health and Safety Manager to help with a selection of key projects across the HSE Function. The role will report to the Head of Health and Safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing health and safety on several new construction projects whilst also supporting the existing team with site audits, reviewing existing RAMs, and updating where required, whilst also supporting on environmental compliance.
This role is based on a COMAH site and therefore experience working on COMAH sites will be a significant advantage.
The responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will be :
- Manage and oversee key new construction projects across the site through to completion
- Monitor Key performance indicators across projects, identifying areas for improvement and providing solutions to ensure best practice
- Provide support to project teams and managing contractors on compliance requirements, site visits, oversight of 3rd party contractor for SHE delivery
- Providing ad hoc support for safety audits, in line with audit plan and associated protocols, coaching others in audit good practice
- Lead and deliver SHEQ improvement activity by providing support to the SHEQ Manager and wider dept. through delivery of agreed improvement activities.
