About the Role :
Hays Education is seeking a dedicated andpassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Denton. This role involves working within the SEN alternative resource provision, supporting a small class of 5-6 early years pupils withplex special educational needs (SEN). These children have high-level needs, requiring tailored support to thrive academically and socially. The school ismitted to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can achieve their potential. It offers a broad, balanced, and creative curriculum tailored to the needs of its pupils. The school values teamwork, individual effort, and celebrates success, making it a place of enjoyment and growth for both staff and students.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide individualised support to pupils withplex SEN, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural concerns.
- Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other educational professionals to ensure effective delivery of educational programs.
- Monitor and report on pupils' progress and adapt strategies as needed.
- Support pupils in developing social skills and managing their behaviours.
