About the Role :

Hays Education is seeking a dedicated andpassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Denton. This role involves working within the SEN alternative resource provision, supporting a small class of 5-6 early years pupils withplex special educational needs (SEN). These children have high-level needs, requiring tailored support to thrive academically and socially. The school ismitted to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can achieve their potential. It offers a broad, balanced, and creative curriculum tailored to the needs of its pupils. Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide individualised support to pupils withplex SEN, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural concerns.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other educational professionals to ensure effective delivery of educational programs.
  • Monitor and report on pupils' progress and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Support pupils in developing social skills and managing their behaviours.

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly in early years.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support.
