Job Advert Location Description

Priory Hospital Barnt Green are looking for a Staff Nurse (RMN’s and RNLD’s) to work within our 10 bedded Private ward. Nursing in mental health has never been more challenging as we continue to provide the highest quality care in a safe and secure way

We are looking for Nurses who can support and guide patients as they progress on their individual recovery journeys. The hospital operates a trauma-informed approach, we provide support that helps people achieve their goals taking into account their life experiences.

As a Nurse with Priory Group, you will receive full training, support and guidance to enable you to provide high quality care. As part of this you will need to complete some bespoke training, including Reducing Restrictive Intervention Training (RRIT). You will also need to complete an enhanced DBS check (it’s worth remembering that a “positive disclosure” such as a criminal record will not automatically exclude you from working with us but it is highly recommended that you talk to us about anything you think may be disclosed as early as possible).

Our Hospital is open 24 hours a day and therefore you will need to be able to work both days and nights across all 7 days of the week. Our shifts run from 7 : 30am – 8pm for day shifts and 7 : 30pm – 8am for night shifts, and full time colleagues can expect to work 3 shifts per week for 3 weeks and 1 week where you will have 4 shifts (this will vary depending on the needs of Hospital).

Although you will be allocated to a specific ward, there will be times where your knowledge and skills will be required on other wards.

We offer all our Nurses a £5000 welcome bonus which is paid in addition to the advertised salary.

Priory Hospital Barnt Green is located in the stunning Lickey Hills Country Park, 10 miles south of Birmingham City Centre. We have thirty-three beds across three wards including ten NHS Psychiatric Intensive Care beds for women, thirteen NHS acute beds for men and women and ten private beds for men and women. In addition to providing inpatient services, the hospital has a large Outpatient department and regional conference facilities.
