Job Advert Role Description
A driver / handyman is required at the hospital for a wide range of driving and handyman duties such as : -
- Driving patients to a variety of different activities, ensuring that the journey is completed in a safe and timely manner, using the most efficient route. Complies at all times with Priory driving Policy.
- Drives staff and other visitors to / from the hospital as required by the Line Manager. Collects and delivers consumable or assets for the hospital.
- Ensures that the hospital's vehicles are cleaned regularly, and that any damage or faults are dealt with immediately. Also ensures that the vehicles are fuelled at all times.
- Ensures that the hospital's vehicles are maintained in the correct and safe manner, ensuring that all professional servicing is carried out in line with the manufacturer's guidance.
- Reporting to the Head of Facilities you will also be responsible for ensuring the common maintenance standards are maintained, as defined in the General Property Maintenance Guide.
- To contribute to the delivery of effective, efficient and economical day-to-day maintenance, new and alteration works to ensure safety of colleagues, service users and visitors and that they experience a pleasant and cared for environment
- Identifies and reports damage, faults and other related issues to the Head of Facilities (and then actions as agreed) to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet the quality standards and statutory regulations.
- Carry out such other duties relating to the work of the department as required by Management.
