SEN Teacher – KS1 Curriculum
Location : Leyland, Nr Preston, Lancashire
Salary : M1 –M6 dependent on experience
Hours : 40 hours per week
Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity to work with a SEN school based in Leyland. The school support pupils aged 9-16 who face various challenges associated with social, emotional and mental health needs.
The Role :
To deliver a high quality play based informal KS1 curriculum to Key Stage 2 and 3 age pupils in classes no bigger than 8 students.
Key Responsibilities :
- To be responsible for the day to day running of the class and assist in other relevant aspects of the day to day running of the school.
- To assess, record and report pupils’ progress according the school’s policy in order to monitor and foster pupils’ progress in all areas of learning.
- To take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils according to the school’s policies, including safeguarding and PREVENT.
- To lead support and supervision sessions for Assistant Teachers and Higher Level Teaching Assistants including Professional Development Reviews.
- To attend and contribute to teachers’ meetings, multi-disciplinary meetings and any other relevant staff meetings.
- To ensure a high standard of personal care for the pupils, carefully monitoring the health and well-being of pupils informing the care staff, medical staff, behaviour support team and any other relevant professionals of any concerns.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
