Job Title : SEN Teaching Assistant
Location : Haslingden, Lancashire
Pay Rate : £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Contract : Full-time, Term-Time Only
Start Date : As soon as possible
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? A highly respected specialist school in Haslingden is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support students aged 4 to 19 with a range of complex needs, including moderate, severe, and profound learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, sensory impairments, and communication needs. You’ll be working in a well-resourced, inclusive environment that prides itself on nurturing each student’s personal development, communication skills, and independence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support pupils’ learning across a broad and adapted curriculum.
- Provide individualised care and behaviour support in line with students' EHCPs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals.
- Help to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Encourage students’ social, emotional, and personal growth.
