Data Engineer Data Technician
Salary : 45000 to 60000 p / a dependent on experience
Plus access to annual bonus
Working hours / rota : Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
Hybrid role where the office is based in Hastings East Sussex
Job role :
Medicas Data Services team plays a crucial role in transforming raw data into valuable insights enabling strategic decisionmaking across the organisation.
Reporting to the Data Services Manager you will design build and maintain robust data pipelines and processes that ensure efficient data collection storage and accessibility. Your work will directly support reporting analytics and performance optimisation.
You will collaborate with stakeholders across Medicas group of companies to facilitate a datadriven culture ensuring seamless integration between technical solutions and business needs. Working closely with technical teams and end users you will translate requirements into scalable data solutions that drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities :
Manage maintain and evolve the companys data platform and data sinks to support future growth
Design create manage and maintain required ETL / ELT processes
Provide input throughout key projects
Provide input into a data strategy and road map to enable future growth as well as addressing legacy systems
Maintain knowledge of technology trends and offerings with a view to evaluating and implementing any required to fulfil requirements
Coach and train colleagues in their career and personal development
Work with key stakeholders in and out of projects providing timely work updates when required
Working proactively to solve problems for key stakeholders

Job requirements
Requirements :
The successful candidate will be a problemsolver with excellent critical thinking skills able to identify and solve potential problems and approach database design from a structured standardsbased point of view
Demonstrable experience in design and implementation of Data Architecture patterns and data modelling
Demonstrable indepth knowledge and experience of Microsoft Azure data tools particularly Microsoft Fabric with an emphasis on OneLake and Data Factory
ELT / ETL experience (Data Transformation)
Experience of SQL Server database and solution design structure maintenance and best practises.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an extensive breadth and depth of TSQL skills
Having a positive and solution driven approach
