What will this role achieve?
This is an exciting and impactful role, crucial to delivering value to our Harlesden site through influencing and collaborating widely with others to support Excellence activities. This role will be a driving force behind the delivery of a busy and exciting Continuous Improvement program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating, mentoring, and developing teams / individuals at all levels on-site as part of the implementation and successful application of Lean tools - ensuring that Tiered Accountability is embedded, and benefits realised on an on-going basis, as well as taking a key role in projects and other improvements activities across the full ranges of KPI's including Safety, Quality and Service.
You will be working closely with Department Managers to ensure the ongoing sustainability of Lean tools on site - ensuring that Tiered Accountability is embedded, and benefits realised on an ongoing basis, as well as taking a key role in projects and other improvement activities across the full range of KPI's including Safety, Quality and Service.
Whilst the role is site based, Harlesden, travel to other sites to collaborate and support projects should be expected, ensuring best practices are shared, and helping continuous improvement across all locations. The role is not shift based but you may need to be flexible in supporting the delivery requirement of operational and project requirements.
What will be your key deliverables?
Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Responsible for delivering engaging communications around Operational Excellence / Lean processes and results across site
Responsible for ensuring that the site's Lean roll out is consistent with the overall Excellence approach within pladis UK&I
Leading and coaching teams to conduct ‘narrow and deep’ interventions aimed at reducing cost, using Lean tools & techniques
Leading Lean training courses across the site and, if required, other pladis sites
Accountable for the building and execution of site improvement pipeline to deliver cost base improvement aligned to budget
Responsible for the identification and submission of Capex. projects related to plant efficiency
Experience in digital transformation with a focus on utilising MES systems to enhance site performance.
Champion the ongoing digital transformation at site, aligning across the UK
Essential
Motivated and passionate about Continuous Improvement (CI), with a resilient character – you will be able to empower people!
Strong understanding of lean tools & techniques within CI & Leadership elements
Track record of operating and delivering results in a Manufacturing / Supply Chain CI culture
Ability to influence across all levels on site and the business
Ability to handle large amounts of data and action quickly to drive actions and results
Ability to lead cross functional teams & initiatives as part of overall Site Leadership responsibilities
Team Motivation / Facilitation / Coaching
Effective Communication & presentation skills
Lean six sigma qualifications (Green Belt minimum)
Working autonomously and as part of a team towards a common goal
Logical mind and eye for detail
Computer literacy-Excel and PowerPoint skills
Worked with MES systems for data analysis
