Overview An exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join PM Group working for us in our vibrant Manchester office. Job Title : Project Manager Location : Manchester Contract : Full time - Permanent Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Projects you will have responsibility for complex and high-profile projects within a range of sectors. While this is part of the UK operations and business, many of our clients are multi-national organisations, and you will therefore have exposure and accountability for international project delivery. Effective communication is vital as you'll be working closely with design teams, management teams and also the client. A key part of the role will be coordinating the design teams, ensuring design quality is delivered, developing and implementing multi-discipline design programmes and chairing design progress meetings. You'll also be responsible for ensuring engineering activities are carried out in line with business processes. Qualifications Previous Engineering or Consultancy experience Degree or equivalent in related subject (e.g. mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical / control / instrumentation engineering.) Working towards or already achieved chartered engineer status. Specific sector related experience including; Nuclear, Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Chemical, Petrochemical, Energy & Environmental and Gas. UK project experience including some exposure to construction and installation activities. Knowledge and understanding of relevant UK design standards. Commercial awareness.
