Specialist Classroom Support
Pay - £12.90 per hour
Location - Cwmbran based
Contract – Temporary
Teaching Personnel are looking for motivated and caring teaching assistants with a passion for working with pupils with additional learning needs. The school, which is Cwmbran based, supports pupils aged 3-19 with autism and / or profound and complex needs and prides themselves on a positive, inclusive, and welcoming environment. Successful candidates will benefit from relevant training to be supported within the role to provide a fun, happy and compassionate education environment tailored to each individual's needs.
What will be required?
- Supporting individuals with additional learning needs with the supervision of the class teacher.
- Attending to the physical needs of the pupils.
- Helping to prepare the classroom for lessons with direction from the teacher.
- Adapting resources to meet the child’s individual educational needs.
- Engaging children in learning activities.
- Caring for children’s physical, emotional, and social welfare, which can include personal care.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
