Job description

This is an office-based ongoing temporary position for one year, covering maternity leave. Due to the urgency of the role, we are seeking immediately available candidates or those with a short notice period.

GBP16.50 per hour
Working hours Monday to Friday 8am-4pm OR 8.30am-4.30pm OR 9am-5pm (37.5 hour working week)
20 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Rising to 26 annual leave days after 13 weeks

On-site parking

Duties :

Completion of monthly management accounts

Responsible for all month-end journals (i.e. accruals and prepayments)

Reconciling the balance sheet to ensure accuracy of monthly accounts

Responsible for purchase ledger including posting supplier invoices and managing supplier payments

Reviewing and processing expenses

Completion of bank reconciliations and managing the cashflow with the In-house banks

HMRC reporting including VAT returns

Support UK companies sales ledger and credit control

Skills and experience required :

Experience of managing company accounts to trial balance

Part-qualified AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role

Knowledge of Pegasus Opera is beneficial, along with good working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
