At Wakam, we are rapidly expanding our operations inthe UK, and we're looking for a Head of Accounting & Tax tojoin our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities : Establish Financial Operationsin the UK : In this role, you will play a crucial part in setting upand structuring the finance activities in the UK, in alignment withwhat is being done at our Head Office in France. ProcessEnhancement : Work on designing, streamlining and enhancingfinancial processes, while ensuring a smooth integration of the UKaccounting function with the Head Office. This includes workingclosely with the teams in France and aligning with the UK'sdevelopment strategy and regulatory requirements. Design theorganization of the operating model with the Head Office. Produceregulatory closings on a quarterly basis under the UK Gaap &French Gaap. Production of Reports : Produce financial reports thatsupport the Head Office while maintaining and improving thereporting processes. This includes a deep understanding ofreporting issues with local authority. Monitoring the UK FinancialPerformance : Assist in giving visibility about our UK financialperformance from an accounting point of view. Direct Reporting : Report directly to the CFO UK and collaborate with the Head Officein a matrix, cross-functional structure. Required experience &Qualification : Financial / chartered accountancy degree. Significantexperience with similar responsibilities on a previous function isideal. Accounting expertise : strong accounting expertise isnecessary for this role. Familiarity with the insurance sector is aplus but can be developed on the job. Attitude and Soft Skills : able to work cross-functionally, with strong reporting acumen, andin-depth knowledge of financial regulations. Being highlydetail-oriented and meticulous in accounting practices isessential. Rigorous and Constructive : high degree of rigor and ableto design a target operating model for running operations.
